Fundraising Events

The Gidget Foundation launch event was held on Friday 22 November 2002 at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Point Piper.

Deborah Thomas, editor of The Australian Woman’s Weekly, spoke of her experience as a working mother and our Master of Ceremonies Melissa Hoyer of the Sunday Telegraph covered the event in her ‘In Style” column the following Sunday.

The event was a resounding success and with we raised in excess of $20,000 which was given to the Dona Maria Ante and Postnatal Depression Support Network.  The money went towards keeping the confidential phone support service for women and men up and running Australlia wide.
